Windows 7 end of support – what you need to know

All good things come to an end. After 14 January 2020, Microsoft will no longer provide security updates or support for Windows 7.

Windows 7 devices will continue to operate however Microsoft will cease to offer technical support for any issues or software and security updates after this date. While your business can continue to use its devices running Windows 7, they’ll be at risk from hardware and compatibility issues, and won’t be protected against the latest virus and malware. Your users, data and, ultimately your business are all potentially at risk. Windows 10 enables your business to do more, be more productive, stay secure and harness the power of cloud to simplify device environment.

The best way to stay secure is on Windows 10 and the best way to experience Windows 10 is on a new PC. While it is possible to install Windows 10 on your older device, Microsoft doesn’t recommend this – and suggests businesses move to new devices to take full advantage of the rich features of Windows 10.
